Still Life

I absolutely cannot wait to read this book. Melissa Milgrom approaches the controversial subject of taxidermy, studying and interviewing taxidermists for over five years. She shows that modern taxidermy intertwines art, naturalism, science, hunting, and recycling for a refreshing take on this Victorian-rooted hobby.

Check out Melissa Dixson, a NYC-based taxidermist who sells her work on etsy.com. Here's a link to her wonderful blog, shop and more: http://www.melissadixson.com/works.html

  1. You really should read the book as Melissa Dixson actually isn't in the book at all!
It's a great book and well worth reading whether you're interested in taxidermy or not.
